Wow! We can't quite believe we're in the final half term of the school year. This half term our adventure is about the stranded scientist. We imagined that we were out at sea and our boat became stranded. Filey was the nearest shore, so we had to direct ourselves to the coastline.
The children wrote a setting description of Filey, thinking about their use of preposition and adjectives to ensure the reader could really imagine what it would look like from reading their text.
The children had to lightly sketch a drawing from a photo of Filey, then paint it with water colours and added some detail for the beach with actual sand.
