Although World Book Day 2021 was spent at home in lockdown, we still had an amazing time in Mulberry Class. We spent the whole day basing our learning around the sea and space. We began the morning thinking about what we can do to save the planet. The children created powerful posters to inform people of the issues in the sea. Then, we got to meet Nathan Bryon, the author of our book, and Dapo Adeola, the illustrator. The children followed along as Dapo taught them how to draw cartoon characters. They also gave Westwood a massive shoutout at the end. In the afternoon, we created asteroid pictures before families at home got involved in 'The Masked Reader'. We had a lovely day and it was really nice to do some different things during lockdown.
