Science

In Science, we have been looking at how different objects move on different surfaces so we did an experiment to see. We talked about the grip from our fingertips and then how this is more difficult when we have latex gloves and washing up liquid on our hands. We also looked at how toy cars move on different surfaces.

We were lucky enough, as a school, to have a very interactive science assembly through zoom. The children loved it!
Lila We wanted to investigate shadows and how light can effect them. We used torches, ourselves and other items to see what happened if we moved the torch forwards or backwards. How would this change the shadow formed?
We checked our knowledge on what we have learnt about light so far.
We wanted to look at the direction of light as we know that it can only travel in straight lines. We used a mirror to reflect the light in different directions.
Our Science focus this half term is light so we investigated what 'darkness' actually means by putting items in a box and gradually allowing light in so that we could see them.
