Physical Activity is really important at Westwood. We know that active children are happier, healthier and learn better, so we strive to ensure that all children meet the recommended minimum target of 60 active minutes every day (at least 30 minutes inside school and 30 minutes out of school).

To help, we have a dedicated team of Active Allstars who assist at playtimes, lunchtimes and after-school clubs. They lead activities, ensure equipment is used and stored correctly, referee games and encourage all children to get moving! 

We also have an on-going House Team competition throughout school using Moki activity trackers. Each week a different class wear the Moki bands and their average daily minutes are calculated, which contributes towards their team average. If individual children average 30 minutes or more, they are awarded a special 'Moki Hero' certificate in assembly.
