Our Journey to PSQM

Westwood's Journey to PSQM began back in September 2020. We enrolled onto the PSQM journey and began by thinking about Science at Westwood. We discussed with staff what was good about Science at Westwood and what we needed to do to move forward. This activity led us into writing our Vision and Principles of Science at Westwood. We also began to attend CPD to further enhance our teaching of science. Mrs Burke and Mr Cooper implemented lots of ideas to the staff and children, all of whom were so fantastic and putting the ideas into practice. Meanwhile, Mrs Burke and Mr Cooper were busy gathering evidence to show how amazing science was at Westwood. We had to write reflective essays, keep a portfolio of all of our evidence and attend lots of Zoom training meetings with the PSQM team. We submitted in June 2021 and returned in September 2021 to find out Westwood had been awarded the PSQM! This webpage is dedicated to celebrating and sharing all of the hard work and effort which went into us gaining the award with the whole Westwood community. We hope you enjoy exploring!
