Adaptive Teaching

At Westwood we are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive environment in which all children are able to enjoy and experience success and pride in their learning.

For those children with special educational needs, technology can provide a lifeline to being able to access, experience and enjoy what the world has to offer.

In Computing we look for every opportunity to use technology for the benefit of all our children.

We assess each child on their specific needs and offer them the support they require to succeed.

Whilst Purple Mash provides many opportunities and resources that enable us to differentiate activities and outcomes for each individual child, some children need their computing curriculum tailored to their specific needs. We do this through Adaptive Teaching.

Through the use of Adaptive Teaching, we deliver a curriculum that provides the knowledge and skills each child needs, to assist and enhance their learning and independence now and into the future.
