Autumn 1: Island Invaders

History

We had a fun filled Anglo-Saxon day where we visited Willow and learnt about Anglo-Saxon life and made clay pots. We also visited Sycamore where we looked at Anglo-Saxon artifacts and guessed what there were for.

We went on a walk around the school, starting with Nursery and Reception and working our way up to Rowan Class. It was lovely to reminisce about our time at Westwood and it brought back a lot of happy memories!

Maths

In Science we have been learning about water resistance. We make our own boats out of plastic bottles, cardboard and other materials. We timed how long it took to cross the pond.
