Number Day 2026
Once again, Westwood took part in Number Day on Friday 6th February. Children (and staff) came to school in their bets number -themed outfits.
This year, we decided to do something a little different by setting some number-themed records in our class. We started the day with an assembly to learn about World Records and how maths plays such an important part in setting them. Some children even had a go at trying to set some!
Back in the classroom, each class had their own record to set including quickest to count to 50, most equivalent fractions matched in a minute and closest line drawn to one metre.
At the end of the day, we came back together to share with each other what our records were and who had set them. Our current record holders can be seen below, but who will beat them next year?
