Science Fair 2025

Science Fair 2025

For the first time Computing activities formed part of our Science Fair fun.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, which all cover concepts like problem-solving, logical thinking and the application of technology to solve real-world challenges - all key concepts in Computing as well.

Including Computing in STEM education helps children to enhance these skills, and prepare them for future careers in technology and other STEM roles.

We really enjoyed sharing our Computing activities with you at the Science Fair which included:

Rainbow Algorithms - children followed a precise set of step by step instructions to build different models using Lego.

Coding Mice - children programmed the Coding Mice to work their way through mazes to find the cheese treasure!

Safari Mazes - children wrote algorithms to work their way through a Safari Maze to spot all the animals.

Micro:bits - children learnt how to program a Micro:bit (mini-computer) to make a flashing heart, a Rock, Paper, Scissors game, and Emotion Badge plus lots of other fun tasks.

Our Computing Club members were there to help everyone through the challenges and we would like to say a huge thank you to them and to you for coming!

We can’t wait for Science Fair 2026!
